As the sun rises over the vast 13,800 hectares of forests in Njombe, the hum of machinery begins. Logs are lifted, bark is stripped, saws cut through eucalyptus and pine, and production moves steadily forward. At the center of this operation is Tanwat, one of East Africa’s largest privately owned forestry companies—an integrated leader supplying vegetable tannin, treated poles, plywood, and sawn timber to both local and international markets.
In an environment this demanding, safety is not optional—it is essential.
Tanwat’s leadership is deeply committed to creating a conducive working environment for its workforce. Every day, employees handle rough timber, wattle bark, and heavy machinery, surrounded by sawdust, splinters, and debris. Standard clothing simply isn’t enough. Tanwat needed protective workwear that could match the intensity of their operations while upholding their mission of excelling in quality at every level.
That’s where HATCO became a trusted partner.
Operating from the same region in the Southern Highlands of Njombe, our proximity allowed us to work closely with Tanwat—responding quickly, understanding their processes firsthand, and delivering solutions without delay. This local partnership became a powerful advantage, especially in an industry that never pauses.
At our factory, we designed and manufactured heavy-duty dust coats and protective workwear built specifically for forestry operations. Using industrial sewing and overlock machines, we reinforced every seam to resist tearing under strain. We carefully selected heavy-weight fabrics capable of shielding workers from sawdust, sharp splinters, and constant friction throughout long shifts in the field and processing plants.
Production and delivery were synchronized with Tanwat’s continuous operating cycles, ensuring their workforce remained fully equipped at all times—without downtime, shortages, or compromised safety.
The final touch was branding. Each garment was finished with Tanwat’s identity, reinforcing professionalism and unity across their vast plantations and processing facilities. From the forest floor to the sawmill, the workforce moved as one—protected, confident, and visibly aligned with the company’s standards.
This collaboration reflects what HATCO stands for: durable solutions, local responsiveness, and industrial-grade quality that protects people and strengthens operations—helping East Africa’s forestry leader continue to grow, safely and sustainably.
